Really enjoyed this game. Very impressive to make an mmo of this caliber work on the web etc. Watched your YT videos about the making of, inspiring!
I loved this game. I want a sequel OR just more games like this. It made me smile and laugh out loud (actually) a few times. Who knows, maybe il try'n make a fan/similar game based on this if I get the time...
Thanks for the game!
Fun simple little game. I have played a lot of games with this style of puzzle, but the dog/cat theming you did really made it worthwhile; everything is very cute!
One feature that would be nice to have is an incremental rewind. IE you can hit 'X' to rewind a single step as opposed to having to re-do the whole route when you're off by 1 or 2 length. But thats quite a bit more work than a full reset feature, still a fun game without it!
Thanks so much for the feedback! the single-step reset sounds like it would have been preferred by a few people, and i think i agree XD i'll take your words to heart, thank you a bunch for playing!
Atmospheric & quite scary actually, the foot thumping sounds really worked well with the whole "can only look one way" mechanic. Had a good time!
Great game, on level 16 so far, going to try to beat it all!
The concept and level design is very well done.
What a surreal little experience lol. I enjoyed it, mostly the oddity of the questions and the animations you get at the end!
Suggestions:
- All the links in the description are broken. They include the final ")" in the url, which is messing everything up
- Sometimes text is off of the screen and you can barreely see it. But you cannot scroll the viewport to see it. Maybe lower the text size or if twine allows it, add a scrollbar?
Hey there! I've fixed the scrollbar issue, let me know if it's working for you! Also fixed the links in the descriptions. And thanks for telling me!
Oh wow I really enjoyed this game! Once I got a hang of it I really got into the second-to-second action & choosing my upgrade path felt nice and rewarding. Something I especially appreciated was the banter back and forth at the bottom. It was quick, easy to read and added a lot of flavour to the game overall. I would love to see you expand this game out with a a couple more levels!
A few small suggestions:
- Fullscreen would make this game amazing! (Note I manually went FS with the js console and the game played great! Except that if you stretch the bounds of the canvas it makes it more difficult to get the player right to the borders of the screen)
- I feel like the initial week enemies shouldn't home in on you. This is to make the first wave easier and give the player more time to get used to dodging things in 3D space. Later on you could have enemies with the same HP that home in of course.
Wow, Thanks!
I was worried about how the 128x128 screen size would feel on a larger screen, but I could add a fullscreen option if you preferred playing that way.
Loved the game. Adventure, secrets and combat all in one!
The combat was a lot more interesting than I initially expected with all the enemy types. I had 0 problems with the controls etc, felt easy to use and intuitive. SFX all tied in nicely, I especially liked the reveal "oohhh" one.
Some comments / suggestions:
- The starting area teaches dashing well, but its annoying to come back too. Even having a simple switch to turn off the spikes would have helped.
- I enjoyed searching for items, but I think a simple checkmark indicator on the areas when you have all the items would help with the people complaining about searching being boring.
- Picking up a collectable could give you full health, would make the reward feel even better!
- Like others have said, a portal out of the area would be a big improvement, even if it was ugly/simple.
All in all I really liked this game, I would actually love to see this combat mechanic pushed further to see what could be done with it!
Thanks for the game!
I enjoyed this game a lot. The constraints are obvious, which I believe is the point. I love the attack delay, gives it some weight! I agree with some other reviewers that it would be nice to be able to hold/charge it, but thats not a big deal.
I can make two suggestions:
1) Remove 1 - 2 of the dogs from the game, as a couple of them just feel unfair.
2) The final boss was easier than most of the game unfortunately. You could likely just up his movement speed + occasionally spawn walking enemies and it would even out nicely.
PS
In the last level there is a 1 tile platform you have to land on. This is evil.
